Plot Holder Work Day

Join us for our next community Plot Holders’ Day! This month we’ll be focusing on autumn planting and site improvements to keep the allotments looking beautiful and wildlife-friendly through the colder months.

Planned activities include:

• Bulb planting in the mini orchard, around the pond, and across the site to create early sources of nectar for pollinators.
• Working on the entrance bed — we’re hoping the polythene covering has done its job, and we can finally start clearing those persistent bramble roots! Hopefully get some plants and bulbs in there too and make a glorious display for Spring!

This session will be a friendly, hands-on morning. The full jobs list will be confirmed after our first meeting of the new committee on 13th October, but we wanted to give everyone plenty of notice.

As always, we know not everyone will be able to attend, but every bit of help – even for a short while – makes a real difference.
